Crispy Roast Duck with Orange and Brandy Glaze

"The Jolly Fisherman & Steak House" is a staple upscale restaurant in Roslyn, NY that has some of the most mouthwatering seafood and steaks you will ever encounter. From the Lump Crabmeat Cocktail, to the fried Blue Point Oysters, and always craveable baked clams, "The Jolly Fisherman & Steak House" is the epitome when it comes to getting succulent, fresh, and flavorful seafood. Yet, my absolute favorite dish on the menu is neither steak nor seafood. Although you cannot go wrong with ordering any dish on the menu, the Roast Long Island Duck with Orange and Brady Glaze is one of the greatest ducks I have ever had and in my opinion, the star of the menu! The duck is not only beautifully crisp on the outside, but the meat on the inside is extremely tender and juicy. When you first bite into the duck you will be amazed by how perfectly balanced the flavors and textures are. The grilled oranges on top of the duck enhance the dish with a vibrant, sweet, and charred finish. Once you start you will not be able to stop. If you love crispy duck and are on the search for a slightly different preparation of the classic orange duck, this is the dish for you! For a final tip on "The Jolly Fisherman & Steak House", one of the best foods not taken advantage of enough is the homemade loafs of bread to go. The homemade nut bread and homemade corn bread is everything you want and more.
